If there is one thing I dislike about Okinawa, it's the ANT problem. We've seriously had issues with ants a couple times since we've been here, including THE day we moved in! Since there was a typhoon recently, the rain caused the ants to invade my home, my kitchen and my bedroom window for some reason. :S I've been killing those suckers with ant spray but I don't want to use that too much since I have a little one in the house. (I put him and leave him in my room for a couple hours while I air out the room.) I seriously need to find a safe way to kill those fuckers lol. I'm so sick of dealing with these damn ants. I just don't want them to hurt my baby. :( They're so tiny you can barely see them, ugh. I just hate having to deal with these ants. Ugh. :(

There's supposed to be a typhoon hitting us today and I am NOT looking forward to it, it's 3:00 p.m. right now and it's supposed to be hitting us sometime between 3:00-5:00 p.m. I don't mind dealing with the typhoons, the only thing I DO NOT want to happen is, the power going out. It went out last time and that was NOT fun whatsoever. I was pregnant then but now I have my little baby and I definitely don't want to have to deal with it seeing as how I have a little one to worry about. Last time it was sooooooo hot and humid in the house, I thought I was going to faint, especially since I was like 8-9 months pregnant at the time. I definitely don't want my little one dealing with the heat and humidity. I have a feeling that we won't have to deal with the electricity going out since it hasn't in a while, thank God! And I have a feeling that this "typhoon" (which was thought to be a tropical storm until a few hours ago or so) won't be that big of a deal. I think it's only at a 1 at this point which is good. :)
Anywho, life as a mommy has been getting better. I've become better at knowing what he wants when he cries, sometimes I have absolutely no idea but as of late, I seem to be better at figuring it out so that's good. I hate to hear my little one crying, it definitely breaks my heart. :( We recently got photos done of the baby so I'm just waiting on those to be posted online, I'm hoping the lady hurries up 'cause I am soooooooo anxious to see them. Hopefully they'll be put up today, I feel like a stalker since I keep checking her website constantly lol. Hopefully I'll be able to view them sooooooon! I'll post them up here once I finally get them! :)

So things have been a little tiring lately (to say the least!), taking care of the baby, taking care of the house, taking care of the hubs and all the other stuff has been definitely wearing me out! It's been even harder as of late since Stephen's been working really hard these past 2 weeks, working longggg days from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. so him and his group can do well on some "test" they got coming up. So he's always tired when he gets home and he's not able to stay up as much with me to help with the baby so it's just been me so you can imagine how tired I must feel! And on top of that, my little boy has his times mixed up 'cause he thinks he's supposed to sleep more during the day, then the night! I'm trying to keep him up longer during the day so he'll want to sleep more at night so I'm hoping it'll work.
But anywho, Christian is now over 5 weeks old! It's crazy how fast time flies. He's been doing really good besides his late night issues. :P And for the most part, I'm getting the hang of the mommy thing, I just wish I ALWAYS knew what he wanted when he cried. For the most part, I do, but there are times where I have NO idea. Today for example, he was crying so I fed him 'cause it was around the time he was supposed to eat. After he ate, he cried some more so I checked his diaper, it was dry and clean, so I thought maybe he was just bored so I held him and rocked him and walked around with him but he was still semi fussy. I eventually thought maybe he was hungry still since he was trying to eat my shoulder but then when I fed him a little more, he was barely even eating, and he fell asleep while eating so I have no idea what he was wanting. I just wish they came with some kind of meter or instructions or SOMETHING! that tells you exactly what they want, that would save us mommies a lot of time and sleep!

Sooo...
I'm currently 37 weeks, 6 days pregnant! Crazyyyy how fast time is flying by. :D Soon my little baby boy, Christian will be here! :D Yayyy! And I think he agrees with this statement 'cause he won't stop shifting my belly into all sorts of weird positions at the moment lol.
But anywho onto my little update on life over here in Okinawa. Last Thursday we had a warning for a typhoon that was coming through. It didn't actually happen till Friday though, earlyyyyy Friday morning around 1-2 a.m. The typhoon lasted till Friday night. It was definitely sucky not having power for a while and being soooooooooo flipping hot in the humid ass house. It was soooo bad that the actual walls were sweating, no joke! And we had a little bit of water leakage in our living room. And because of that, I fell down. :( Luckily I fell on my butt and luckily everything's okay with my little one. I was sooooooooo worried and paranoid but now I feel somewhat better about it. And as much as I think it's cool to be overseas living in a country I've never lived in before, I am seriously counting down the days till I'm back in America! lol I just can't wait for these next couple of years to be over with! And I can't wait for my hubs to get out the military (but that won't be happening for a while) and I can't wait to actually have a stable life. I used to think I wanted this kind of life but the more I think about it, I'd rather be settled somewhere and be stable rather than move around all the time. I just can't wait to own our own house and have our careers and just be a normal, happy family. :) Speaking of houses, my brother and my sister in law just bought their very first house! It was supposed to be like $220,000 but they got the price down to $165,000 so that's good! And that price is REALLY REALLY REALLY low especially for houses in Arizona so I'm definitely shocked at that. I'm happy for them though, now that they'll be having two babies, they'll definitely need a bigger place. My sister in law is due with baby #2 this November, a little boy named Jeremiah James. I think it's awesome how there will be two new little boys in the family, my Christian and their Jeremiah. :)
Stephen and I are hoping to come back to the states for a visit this winter so I'm hoping and praying that we'll be able to! We'll make a stop in Minnesota and also in Arizona where the majority of our families live. :D I can't wait! And I'm sure everyone's looking forward to meeting little Christian but definitely not as much as me or Stephen! :D

So today I found out some sucky news. :( I was informed by my husband that he's going to have 24 hour cq on my birthday. In the 3 years we've been together, each and every one of my birthdays, he has missed. :( And now when we're actually together, WE STILL CAN'T BE TOGETHER! It's just sucky. :( I'm hoping he'll be able to switch with someone so hopefully. :(
And it also sucks that he has cq duty today. :( 24 hour cq duty and I won't be seeing him till tomorrow morning. The sucky thing is today would've been a day off for him but nope, not since he has cq. And I feel bad 'cause I have two Dr. appointments tomorrow and he'll have to take me to them after not sleeping for over 24 hours. :( My poor bub lol.
